Our House…

Well, it’s official. After MONTHS of searching, Tyler and I finally found our house the other day. We’ve been spending the past few Fridays going through homes with our realtor and we found a couple that we liked, but the first two had some issues (one had had renovations done and they have cut through some flooring support beams and the second had a weird leaking basement window thing). The third house that we absolutely loved is one that we went through yesterday. It’s in a nice, quiet area in London and I am absolutely in love with it. We took my parents and my one sister through it today and we didn’t find any issues. The home is IMMACULATE. There are no furnace or central air issues. No water issues. Nothing. It’s great! The best part is that it’s perfect for us. Tyler and I never wanted to get a “starter” home. I’m using some of my inheritance from my grandfather as a down payment, so we don’t have to worry about too much. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It has a good sized living room, a backyard, and a huge deck. The master bedroom is HUGE. Like more than double the size of our old bedroom in Guelph. We talked to the neighbours and they all said that they love the area and most of them are close with each other. We even talked with a guy just a bit younger than us to see how he liked it and everything was very positive!

We’re currently slated to take possession on July 15th (which seems SO far away), but the date will most likely change because the family we’re buying from is trying to buy a house and will be vacating our house as soon as they take possession of their new one. Hopefully they find one very quickly and take possession in less than 3 months, but if not, we’ll deal with it. It seems so far away, but so close too. I can’t believe that it’s already April. It seems like it was just Christmas! Before we know it, it’ll be July and we’ll be living in our new house! I cannot even begin to tell you how super excited I am right now! I’ve included a few pictures of the exterior that I was able to take off MLS. Don’t worry, there will be lots of other pictures to come!
